Hundreds of emergency services personnel, including local SES and RFS volunteers, were continuing yesterday to search rugged bush for nine-year-old missing girl Charlise Mutten.
The little girl, who lives in Queensland, was staying at Mt Wilson with her mother, Kallista, at a wedding reception property owned by the family of the mother's fiance.
Charlise was last seen on Thursday and reported missing on Friday morning. She was wearing a pink top, black knee-length skirt and pink thongs. She is between 130cm and 140cm tall and thin.
Many Mountains RFS brigades have been involved in the search effort, along with SES and police.
RFS Blue Mountains District posted that crews had been working "around the clock" and Katoomba/Leura RFS said the terrain was "extremely rugged with very thick bush in parts".
Dog units, remote area crews, trail bike units and helicopters have also been deployed. A boat was examined. Police using geo-targeting messaging sent texts to locals in the area and other Upper Mountains towns on Friday evening, seeking any information or sightings of the little girl and asking them to call Crime Stoppers.
