When does Ash Barty play at the Australian Open and how can I watch?

Ash Barty plays tonight. Here's how you can watch

She doesn't like to get ahead of herself so we won't either.

World No.1 Ash Barty is the first home hope to reach at least the last eight of the Open for four consecutive years since Wendy Turnbull in 1984.

Barty will play another American, 21st seed Jessica Pegula, on Tuesday for a place in the last four.

After romping through the draw without dropping a set en route to the Australian Open's last eight, Barty enters Tuesday night's quarter-finals a heavy favourite to continue her to the final.

Barty is the first match on Centre Court on Tuesday night, scheduled at 7pm local time in Melbourne. After introductions and warm-ups, play is likely to start about 7:10pm.

The match will be on free-to-air television - on Channel 9's main channel or 9GEM depending where you are.

You also can live stream the match - the free 9Now service or the paid subscription service Stan Sport which is ad-free. Stan offers a seven-day free trial with Stan Sport before you are charged. The Australian Open goes for a fortnight.

The winner of the Barty-Pegula match will face American Maddison Keys for a spot in Saturday's Grand Slam decider.
