TREND: PASTEL POWER
We love the latest spring pastels – and Transformers actress Nicola Peltz's pretty eyeshadow rendition is our favourite. Make-up artist Kate Lee said that she wanted "something that was bright and fresh and played up Nicola's eye colour. This peachy pink was perfect." For a quick rendition, try using your favourite pink blush (see right) with a blush brush to give you a fresh sweep of no-fuss colour.
ROAD TEST
This week I try ... Bobbi Brown make-up
The lowdown Until I am propped up in the chair, I often forget how relaxing it is getting my make-up done, especially when you start from scratch. Today, make-up maestro Felix Nguyen has flown in from Hong Kong to perform the Pretty Powerful make-up lesson that has been honed down to 10 steps over Bobbi Brown's 30-year career. Today, it's all about playing up my eyes. I am a bit of a cliché, but I love a smoky eye. Felix applies foundation, concealer, bronzer and blush and then goes to work on my eyes. First, Long-Wear Eye Base in Light is added from lashes to brow line to provide a neutral base. Next comes Long-Wear Cream Shadow Stick in Golden Bronze that Felix works over the entire lid. The finishing touch is Sparkle Shadow in Allspice, a chocolaty sparkly shadow that he works around my upper and lower lash line. Lips are a shimmery pale peach.
Pleasure factor High. Brushes worked over my face are relaxing and the smoky eye is a winner.
Downtime 45 minutes.
Results After taking a shameless selfie in the car, the "likes" come flooding in. Felix, where are you?

What is the best way to define your brows?
"Create freshness by using a concealer around the entire brow line, then blending a little bit over the hairs. Apply light strokes of brow powder with an angled brush. The concealer will act as a bond so the hairs don't shift." Try Amy Jean Brow Velvet, $55, amyjean.com.au.
