The Blue Mountains Cricket Association paid an emotional tribute to fallen Australian Test cricketer Phillip Hughes last weekend at Katoomba's Top Reserve.
BMCA CEO Ian Strudwick said the tragic death had struck the Mountains cricket community hard and had reminded players and their families about how precious life is.
"The BMCA's thoughts are with Phillip Hughes' family right now and we hope to honour his memory by continuing to love the game he played so well," Mr Strudwick said.
Saturday's tribute, before play started at Falls Reserve, was arranged by BMCA director Blair Kavanagh.
"The local cricket community always offers strong support to its members but it doesn't stop there, which is why we wanted to honour one of Australia's best young cricketers of recent times," he said.
