Police have charged a man and woman after a violent road rage incident in Kogarah.
A 44-year-old man and a 23-year old woman were in a Mazda 121 which was in front of a Holden Commodore, in Jubilee Street, about 11.40am last Tuesday.
The Holden was being driven by a 30-year-old man who had a passenger in the car.
The occupants of the Mazda, who police will allege knew the people in the Holden, stopped in the middle of the road.
The two people in Mazda approached the Holden. They allegedly kicked the car and punched both occupants.
The male occupant of the Mazda was so enraged that he allegedly jumped on to the bonnet of the Holden.
In doing so, he fell off when the Holden drove away and suffered a broken knee.
The 23-year-old woman was also injured, hurting her foot.
The pair were taken to St George Hospital.
Police spoke to them at the hospital and launched an investigation.
They were charged with affray and behaving in an offensive manner and will appear in Kogarah Local Court in May.
