Blue Mountains Pro Wrestling will make its debut at Lithgow's Ironfest this weekend, April 18-19.
Lithgow's own wrestler 'Full Force' Mat Rogers will be wrestling for the prestigious World Heritage Championship against current champion Robbie Eagles.
Eagles has torn through opponents undefeated in the Blue Mountains Pro Wrestling ring but he will be up against his biggest challenge to date at Ironfest this Sunday, April 19. Eagles is known for his fighting spirit which saw him defeat four wrestlers to become World Heritage champion in Blackheath on December 13, 2014.
"He may be multiple times my size, but trust me, he's never been in the ring with someone who brings what I've got," Eagles said of his Ironfest opponent Rogers. "There's no malicious intent behind what I do, but I am doing all that I can to win. My kicks will feel like a wall of bricks caving down on you. Aerial assault is a way I put a ring to it, because I will be able to hit from any and all angles."
TV's 'Iron Jay' Benny Coles will be in action this Saturday, April 18 along with Melbourne wrestlers Benny Factor and Syd Parker, New Zealand's Slade Mercer, veteran JT Robinson, Bee Boy, Kasai and many more.
Sunday will see the World Heritage championship match between Robbie Eagles and Mat Rogers, Tyson Gibbs, Rainbro, Apollo and women's wrestlers Charli Evan and Jess Troy.
Times and matches will be announced on the Blue Mountains Pro Wrestling website or check the boards outside the shed on both days. Visit: www.bluemountainsprowrestling.com.au.
