Blackheath Golf Club hosted a Legends Tour event on Monday, November 9.
Well-known Australian professionals such as Lyndsay Stephen,Tim Elliot and George Serhan participated along with many other senior pros.
The joint winners of the pro’s event were NSW professional David Hughes along with ex-Lithgow golf club professional David Hando with both shooting 3 under 66 with Tim Elliot next with 2 under 67.
The super senior pro winner was ex -Katoomba professional Hugh Dolan finishing with a fine 1 over par 70.
The teams event of two amateurs and two professional with the best two out of the four scores went to P. Johnstone (22), local boy Matt Hill (5), professionals David hughes and Peter Hayes with 91 stableford points from J. Carroll (19), J. Ferguson (18) and professionals Chris Fox and Frenchman Charles Le Chevallier with 89 points on a countback. Coming in third was the local groundstaff team of Luke Skinner (8) and Adam Gronlund (20) with professionals, Steve Aisbett and Colin Hunt, also on 89 points.
Nearest the pin on the second went to James Carroll with the 17th going to Paul Cabban. For the ladies to Kerri Tatton and to profession Greg Hohnen. The longest drive on the 9th went to professional Mark Delaney. The lady’s went to Cecile Foulsham and the men’s A-grade went to C. Bayliss, B grade to Dave Crossman and C grade to Sinclair Schofield.
The condition of the course was praised by all the professionals and the club looks forward to hosting the event again in 2016.
