Rock climber rescued after falling from cliff
A 20-year-old man has been rescued after he slipped and fell down a cliff while rock climbing at Leura.
The man was part of a group of people who were climbing at The Main Wall on Sublime Point Road at around 12.40pm on Sunday, police say.
Officers from the Blue Mountains Local Area Command, with the assistance of Police Rescue and paramedics, abseiled into the area to assess the man.
He was later winched to safety and taken to Westmead Hospital with fractures to his legs.
Police also report a woman, believed to be in her 20s, was taken to Blue Mountains Hospital with rope burns.
