Ride2Rescue, the annual cycling event for Destiny Rescue on the M7 cycle-path, was a great success on Saturday, September 17.
Riders young and old set off in the early hours of the day to complete their challenges (from 25 to 80Km) and on their return were greeted by volunteers preparing a barbecue lunch at Pearce Reserve, Kings Langley.
The riders have so far raised $27,816, just shy of their $30,000 target to help rescue 100 children from sexual slavery in India. One of the largest participating groups came from the Wycliffe Christian School community and the regular riders that attend Cassiopeia Cafe in Springwood.
The owner of the cafe, Zac Suito, took a day off work to participate in the event.
"I look forward to being involved in the ride next year," he said after completing the 80km distance.
