Nova Employment is looking for employers with smart business sense.
That’s the view of CEO Martin Wren of any employer who takes on willing workers with a disability.
“It’s a smart business move,” he said at last week’s launch of the 100 jobs in 100 days campaign. “These are people who want to work, who want to be taxpayers.”
Nova works with people with a disability, matching them to jobs they can do, anything from cooking in a cafe to driving a bus or potting up plants in a nursery.
The 100 jobs campaign has been run for several years, helping many businesses get dedicated, punctual and proud employees, Mr Wren said.
“We’ve found employers in the Mountains were willing to listen to the idea and give it a try,” he said.
Any would-be employer interested in seeing if Nova can find a match for their vacancy, please call Lyn White in the Katoomba office on 4780 6600 or Rachel Hampshire at Springwood on 4752 3000. And any person with a disability seeking work is also encouraged to call.
