Missing man found safe and well in Katoomba
AN elderly man reported missing in the Blue Mountains has been located safe and well.
The 80-year-old man had gone missing from a nursing home in Katoomba about 6.30pm on Saturday, October 1.
Officers from Blue Mountains Local Area Command, SES and RFS searched for the man overnight.
About 8.35am on Sunday, October 2, he was found in a nearby back yard.
The man was treated for scratches and bruises and was taken to Katoomba Hospital as a precaution.
Police thanks the community and the media for their assistance.
