Blue Mountains City Council has removed the most recent graffiti attack on the historic Lennox Bridge in Glenbrook.
Council mobilised a specialist team to remove the extensive graffiti from the sandstone archway of the bridge.
The graffiti was removed as quickly as possible to restore the popular and significant heritage site.
“Council is continuing to take a considered approach to the graffiti removal to ensure effective graffiti removal while maintaining the heritage value and integrity of the bridge,” said a spokeswoman.
“Council has intensified the use of surveillance technology in the Lennox Bridge precinct in an effort to deter ongoing vandalism, such as graffiti and illegal dumping.
