Australia’s leading consultancy in non-government organisation (NGO) workforce and people management – People Advantage – will be running a half-day seminar in Katoomba on March 1, in conjunction with the Blue Mountains Regional Chamber of Commerce.
The seminar will focus on helping NGOs in the Blue Mountains region to effectively manage and optimise their workforce in 2017.
Based out of Wentworth Falls, People Advantage works with many of Australia’s leading NGOs.
The seminar will address such key issues as: making sure an NGO’s workforce capabilities are fully aligned with their business strategy; implementing affordable pay practices for attracting and retaining the right people; and assessing workforce strengths and future development needs.
People Advantage, Executive Director, Dallas Burgess, believes the seminar is ideal for CEOs and general managers, and managers with line function and HR responsibilities.
“We’ve worked extensively with NGOs, especially those in the disability space, and there’s a lot of best practice and industry trends we will be sharing with Seminar participants,” said Mr Burgess.
“There are some key benefits that NGOs will gain from attending – most importantly, ensuring people’s jobs/roles are closely aligned with key organisational objectives, ensuring structure and clarity in performance assessment, and being able to produce valid and reliable workforce data”.
Seminar presenters are Mr Burgess and Adrian Peterson, who has more than 30 years’ experience in human resources.
The seminar will be held from 9am-noon at the YHA Katoomba, 207 Katoomba Street. To register visit www.bmchamber.org.au/events or call 0413 956 591.
