He’s been a regular visitor to the Blue Mountains with Mikelangelo and the Black Sea Gentlemen over the years but the Catalan Casanova, Rufino, will be performing with a new show when he returns in September.
The crooner and violinist will showcase his tropical-noir sounds at The Baroque Room in Katoomba with a full eight-piece band The Coconuts on Friday, September 1.
Rufino said he loves the “romance of the majestic Blue Mountains and its community of people”.
“There is so much deep history in the area from the beautiful art deco buildings to the ancient landscape,” he said.
“There is always a bit of mischief in the air and some wonderful local characters who have become fans and friends over the years, people who have left the bustle of the city but still love music, culture and a good time.”

The Coconuts tell tales of jungle misadventures, Caribbean dentists, cray fishing and near-death-love-encounters all delivered with a bone rattling backbeat.
They groove, they rock-steady, they spread good time tropical fun and then they yell and run from the evil spirit Baron Samedi.
