Brenton Foster 6tet will play at the Lawson Mechanics Institute to celebrate their acclaimed second album, The Nature Of Light.
Featuring some of Melbourne’s finest jazz musicians and improvisers, the band will perform music from The Nature Of Light and their debut record, Two Cities, alongside re-imagined favourites from the Great American Songbook.
The Nature of Light showcases Foster’s stunning compositions, masterful piano playing and soulful vocal stylings. Released at the 2017 Stonnington Jazz Festival and heralded at the 2017 Melbourne International Jazz Festival, it is is an emotionally charged future classic.
In partnership with Bold Future Records and Music In The Mountains, Brenton Foster 6tet will perform at the newly reopened Mechanics Institute, 284 Great Western Highway, Lawson on Saturday, September 30.
