On Sunday, October 8, a church with a new spirit opened in the Blue Mountains at Lawson.

Meeting at the Mechanics Institute, the Church of United Spiritualism of Australia open its Lawson branch.

Arch Reverend Craig Harmer was very happy that local Reverend Nadja Lawerence from Bullaburra was able to procure the recently renovated Mechanics Institute for the church's services to be held every 2nd and 4th Sunday of the month from 3.30-5pm.

The Church of United Spiritualism of Australia was proclaimed under the Attorney General's department in 1975 and is a denomination with reverend ministers able to facilitate weddings, naming and funerals.

The Church of United Spiritualism of Australia’s proclamation and constitution in 1975, under the inaugural Arch Reverend Annie McCann, was based on proving life after death via evidential mediumship. .

Today, the Church of United Spiritualism of Australia offers a variety of spiritual modalities as insights such as numerology, astrology and meditation throughout its services across Australia. Church services, festival events and home visits via pastoral care are just some of the passions shared with the community by the ministers.

Arch Reverend Craig Harmer said the reverend ministers of the denomination are proud to offer Spiritual services free of all discriminations based on the colour of skin, the race or sex of a person, their nation of origin, religious upbringing, disability, age or sexual orientation. The church believes everyone has a living right to be equal, free of all discriminations, a place where both men and women are equal and both are entitled to have political, social and industrial views and success.
