Award-winning pianist Tony Lee will round off the 2017 season for Blue Mountains Concert Society on Sunday, November 19.
Sydney born Lee will perform at the Blue Mountains Theatre in Springwood at 2.30pm.
Lee plays assuredly with astonishing technical prowess and passionately with intelligent and thoughtful interpretation. He has been the winner of numerous national and international, piano competitions and was awarded the Nancy Weir Best Australian Pianist Prize in the prestigious 2016 Sydney International Piano Competition.
Lee completed his Bachelor of Music in Performance at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music and is currently completing his Masters of Music in Oslo, Norway. He has appeared as soloist with the BBC, Brussels and Samara Philharmonic Orchestras, Queensland, Tasmanian and New Zealand Symphony Orchestras and performs regularly across Europe, China, USA, New Zealand and Australia.
Lee will be performing compositions by John Adams, China Gates (1977), Ludwig van Beethoven Sonata No 32 in C Minor and Sergi Rachmaninoff Sonata No1 in D Minor.
