Blue Mountains residents have until January 12 to comment on council’s strategic parking plan.
The draft citywide parking strategic plan, which has been on exhibition since November 22, will help the development and implementation of an integrated, accessible and sustainable transport system.
“It will provide a parking supply and demand profile across the Blue Mountains Local Government Area, provide recommendations to reduce parking conflicts and inform the future planning for parking management and infrastructure,” said a council spokeswoman.
“Currently, large parking areas throughout the city are not consistent with the distinctive character of the Blue Mountains. There is also limited supply of suitable land in areas with high parking demand.
“The draft plan seeks innovative methods to address these issues.”
