More than 70 people attended the opening of Ben Roberts Cafe on Saturday evening, March 10.
Guests included Blue Mountains MP Trish Doyle, Macquarie MP Susan Templeman, Blue Mountains deputy mayor Chris Van der Kley, Blue Mountains Ward 2 councillors Brent Hoare and Romola Hollywood, Glenda Grace and Wendy Ashcroft-Ware from TAFE Western Sydney.
The board and staff of Blue Mountains Food Services and participants of the Cook + Connect Program and their families, were joined by cafe customers and locals.
The crowd was were entertained by Ann Palumbo and Paul Laszlo, two members of RAPT trio.
Ben Roberts Cafe is a social enterprise supporting young people with a disability.
The cafe is located next to the car park behind the Lawson Hotel and is open Tuesday to Saturday.
