Police have charged a teenage boy after an alleged stabbing in Katoomba yesterday afternoon (Monday, May 12).
Two boys, aged 16, allegedly had an argument at a games shop about 3.30pm.
A fight broke out between the two and one teen allegedly stabbed the other in the left hip with a small knife.
A 17-year-old teenage boy allegedly intervened and was cut on the left thigh by the 16-year-old, before he ran from the location.
Police from Blue Mountains Local Area Command were called to the incident and commenced an investigation.
The two injured teenage boys were taken to Katoomba Hospital with the 16-year-old later transferred to Nepean Hospital, where he remains in a serious but stable condition.
About 7.20pm the same day, officers attended a Katoomba home and arrested a 16-year-old boy.
He was taken to Katoomba Police Station and charged with armed with intent and reckless wounding, and refused bail to appear before Children’s Court today (Tuesday, May 13).
