Bullaburra native Ben St Lawrence was last week named in Australia's athletics team for the 2014 Commonwealth Games, which begin in Glasgow on July 23.
The 32-year-old middle distance runner will represent Australia in two events.
St Lawrence will join Victorian Collis Birmingham in the men's 5000m at the Games after posting the fastest 'B' qualifying time of 13:31:56 at a meet in Hobart on February 1.
And by posting an 'A' qualifying time of 27:37:55 in Palo Alto, USA in April 2013 which failed to be beaten since, he secured his place in the team for the men's 10,000m, along with fellow New South Welshman Harry Summers and Victorian Chris Hamer.
St Lawrence tweeted on June 5 "very happy to be named in the Aus team for Comm Games in Glasgow".
"Congrats to everyone who made the team, can't wait to race!"
This will be the Olympian's second appearance at the Commonwealth Games, having represented Australia in 2010 in Delhi.
St Lawrence represented Australian in the 10,000m in the 2012 London Olympics.
