In the first incident, about 3pm on Wednesday, March 18, an 11-year-old boy was walking along Lawson View Parade when he saw a small white 4WD or station wagon drive past him several times.
The car, which had black and white number plates starting with ‘AB’, was being driven by a man.
The boy hid from the vehicle in a nearby yard.
In the second incident, about 7.30am on Friday, March 20, the boy was standing on the corner of Lurline Street and Henderson Road while waiting for a school bus when a vehicle stopped near him. Police believe the white vehicle had the same driver.
When the driver asked the boy his age, the boy threatened to take his photograph before the car drove away.
The boy and his father reported the incidents to Katoomba Police on March 21
Blue Mountains police would like to speak with a man who may be able to assist with inquiries.
The man is described as having olive skin, a black beard and moustache, and balding hair.
