The Western Sydney Wanderers weren’t the only big winners in their A-League clash with Melbourne Victory on December 12 in Parramatta.
Several junior teams from the Blue Mountains Football Club (BMFC) and Hazelbrook Hawks were lucky enough to take part in the half time and pre-match entertainment.
BMFC’s U10s yellow and green sides and U8s red team played mini-games on the field against other junior teams during the break, while its U12s girls players (plus some of their brothers) performed a football skills demonstration.
Prior to kick-off, a combined U7s group, including BMFC and Hazelbrook Hawks juniors, enjoyed the thrill of walking with the A-League players and the team’s mascots onto the field.
Western Sydney Wanderers won the match, with goals to Mark Bridge and Rome Castelen sealing the 2-0 defeat and extending the Wanderers' winning streak to seven matches.
