The division one men's game was the feature game on main court one, with the Panthers leading throughout most of the game before escaping with a 66-65 win.
Sean Weekes was again the catalyst for Penrith's victory, scoring almost at will throughout the game to keep the Panthers score ticking over.
Weekes (21 points) received solid support from big-man Corey Wright, who knocked down some key three-point shots on his way to a 12-point haul.
The division two men were on main court two and trailed competition-leading Hills District Hornets all game in a 76-67 loss.
Gabriel Alvarez led the Panthers with 13 points, ahead of Brad McGrath, 11, and Lillas Johnson, 10.
The division one men are on the road for a double-header this weekend, facing the Central Coast Crusaders in Terrigal on Saturday, then playing the Blacktown Storm at the Kevin Betts Stadium, Mt Druitt at noon on Sunday.
The division two men are away to the Central Coast Waves on Saturday, while the division one women have a bye.
