Fourteen-year-old Georgia Dillon has won Nepean Blue Mountains Local Health District’s ‘Get Involved’ design competition.
The Leura resident designed paper cutouts of people linked together by holding hands.
“I wanted to represent different people, genders and nationalities that make up the different walks of life in our community. The idea just came to me and I kept building on it over time,” she said.
“When I leave school I’d like to do something with art of perhaps graphic design."
Georgia's image will be used for the Local Health District’s Get Involved program, which is an online community which asks for feedback on health projects. People can provide feedback on things such as posters, information brochures, health promotion initiatives and possible changes to the health service.
Georgia's image will be used on all promotional materials for the program such as posters, the website and flyers.
