The Mountains’ biggest festival, held annually in June, draws tens of thousands of visitors to Katoomba. The work behind the scenes is significant but rewarding and the committee is hoping to find some new faces to share the load.
Positions are up for grabs at the festival’s AGM which will be held on Monday, November 7 at 7pm at Gallery ONE88 Fine Arts. Entry is via Beverly Place Street Art walk.
All volunteer positions are declared vacant with only a few committee members returning.
Ideally members would have experience and passion in the required areas. They must commit to responsibilities in the lead up, on the day and post festival.
Anyone interested in nominating for the director position would ideally have an understanding of the logistical and legal requirements of Australia's largest street festival and hold the core community values.
Areas of most importance include festival director, market stall co-ordination and management, sponsorship and grants, volunteer co-ordination and media. Anyone interested in stepping in as festival director is asked to contact info@wintermagic.com.au with a proposal or CV.
All positions are volunteer based, and as such do not have payments attached to them.
