An elderly football fan has died and two people are in a critical condition after three medical incidents at the MCG on Saturday night.
A man aged in his 80s went into cardiac arrest just after 7.30pm during the Essendon and Geelong game.
He died at the scene.
In other parts of the ground, a man in his 70s and a woman in her 20s collapsed.
It is thought the man experienced a heart attack while the woman suffered from a medical condition.
Both people were rushed to The Alfred hospital in a critical condition.
Ambulance Victoria spokesman John Mullen told 3AW it was fortunate that defibrillators were on hand at the venue.
