Spring has sprung! – and the thoughts of gardeners everywhere turn to new growth, colour and wonderful perfumes in their garden.
To experience this magic at its best, visit the 2017 Leura Gardens Festival from September 30 to October 8.
The 2017 festival, the 53rd, will showcase the beauty of spring with 11 enchanting gardens on show, including two new to the festival, four returning after a break and also a selection of favourite gardens that keep visitors returning year after year.
And you can visit all 11 gardens for just $25 per person for an all-gardens ticket or $8 per individual garden. The all-gardens ticket can be used for the full nine days of the festival.
There is a wide range of garden types this year, from the majestic acres of Everglades and The Braes to the intimacy of several smaller gardens, including the delightful St Anne’s, one of this year’s new gardens, and informal long-time favourites, Rustlings and Dead End House.
Much like the resort itself, the Fairmont Resort gardens have seen significant rejuvenation over the past few years. The expansive garden area features many quiet sanctuaries accentuated by three magnificent lakes.
The Braes is returning after a break for further refurbishment. This beautiful garden offers an extensive display of trees and shrubs, some 100 years old.
All proceeds go the Blue Mountains District Anzac Memorial Hospital and other local health-related organisations. More details at: www.leuragardensfestival.com.au or 0431 095 279.
