A man has been airlifted to hospital after falling at Yellow Rock Lookout overnight.
About 12.30am on Thursday, a group of friends had been socialising at the Yellow Rock Lookout at Yellow Rock.
A 20-year-old man appears to have fallen about 60 metres from one of the cliff faces while ‘rock hopping’, police said.
Members of the group searched for the man while others contacted emergency services.
Blue Mountains Police and paramedics attended and were able to descend to the patient with ropes.
Due to the man’s serious condition, an ambulance helicopter attended, taking the man to Westmead Hospital.
The man will undergo treatment for a fractured neck and has a large amount of bruising and grazing.
