Blue Shorts is currently the only short film festival in the Blue Mountains that is open to the whole community and 2018 will mark its third year.
Blue Shorts is organised on a voluntary basis by local people who are passionate about film and the local community. This year it is also being supported by Mt Vic Flicks, Blackheath Area Neighbourhood Centre and the Blue Mountains City Council’s cultural arts grant.
Applications will only be taken from people whose film is either made on location between Lapstone and Lithgow or if the film-maker(s) reside between the same areas.
Films categories are general (7 mins or less), youth (13-18) (7 mins or less), under 13s 2 mins or less). Enter at https://filmfreeway.com/festival/BlueShorts before 5pm on March 31. Finalists’ films will be shown at Mount Vic Flicks on Saturday, May 19.
