Sometimes we encounter situations in life which become all encompassing or we experience a loss of our sense of self and or self direction.
This can happen to us all because of adverse or difficult events in our lives.
Counsellor Jenny Gill and art therapist Sue Wildman will be running an eight-week course at the Blue Mountains Women’s Health and Resource Centre (BMWHRC) in Katoomba. The course is for women who want to find purpose and meaning in their lives by gaining new insights, learning helpful strategies and recognising and building on their strengths.
The program uses various creative therapies.
“You don’t have to be an artist. The emphasis is on the process involved and making new discoveries. The group is particularly useful for women who have experienced some form of trauma and are ready to move on,” said Sue Wildman.
The group begins on Tuesday, May 15 from 10am to 12.15pm. There is limited childcare. Cost is $25 for the course and bookings are essential.
