Delays on Great Western Highway following car crash on June 11

UPDATE (11.55am):

Westbound traffic is now queued up to 3km on the Great Western Highway.

The delays were caused by an earlier accident at the Queen Road intersection near Leura.

A car hit a power pole and brought down power lines about 11am on Monday.

Emergency services crews remain at the scene.

One westbound lane is closed to traffic.

Allow extra travel time or avoid the area if possible.

There are delays on the Great Western Highway following a crash near Leura on Monday morning.

The car accident occurred at the Queens Road intersection about 11am on June 11.

A car has hit a power pole and brought down power lines.

Westbound traffic is affected, with two lanes currently closed.

Emergency services crews are at the scene.

Traffic is passing the site by using the right turn lane.

Motorists are urged to reduce speed and exercise caution in the area.

Allow extra travel time or avoid the area if possible.
