Tales of the Olde Sea is a mixture of comedy, mystery, adventure and fun set to music, poetry, text and song and narrated with a lot of humorous sailor talk that underpins many of our modern-day English and Irish expressions.

Extracts from Homer's Odyssey describes the inexplicable sea along with dreamlike creation text from the dead sea scrolls. The show also describes the Pacific Islander people, who utilised the incredible star navigation technique to cross thousands of miles of oceans.
Written and directed by Aanya Mary, it is performed by a live ensemble featuring Martyn Cook (Celtic harp and Irish whistle), Kate Woolfe (vocals and text) and John Duffy (Irish musician and storyteller). Supper is included, drawing on recipes of the old seafarers.
