A bid to postpone further work on a bicycle path between Blackheath and Mt Victoria was defeated at last week’s council meeting. The path has been opposed by the Blackheath Alliance and many local residents which believe it will be a white elephant and never used because of its route beside the highway. But council rejected Cr Kevin Schreiber and Kerry Brown’s suggestion that further work be deferred.
