Gothic special effects at Blaxland High

Blaxland High School year 9 visual arts students had lots of fun on March 29 during a special effects day, with a visit from make-up artist Ali Stadler.

The former Blaxland High student currently teaches make-up and special effects at TAFE.

"Year 9 visual arts have been studying the ongoing influence of Gothic architecture and literature on artists such as Tim Burton, and as part of their assessment devised costumes, characters and make-up for an assessment task," said visual arts teacher Skye Wright.

Ms Wright said the students loved the opportunity of working with a professional artist.
