A man in his 40s was airlifted to Liverpool Hospital in a serious condition after a two-car accident on the Great Western Highway at Medlow Bath on Thursday.

An Ambulance NSW spokeswoman said witnesses had reported seeing a car veer into other vehicles. The accident occurred about midday, and the man was trapped briefly in his car.
The spokeswoman said an off duty paramedic was first to treat the man at the scene.
