With pin-up girl looks, authentic three-part harmonies and plenty of humour, The Roslyns will swing the Hydro Majestic Hotel into the Roaring 20s on Saturday.
The all-girl swing/Motown collective will take to the Majestic Ballroom stage after a three-course Deco Dinner of bold, creative flavours with influences of yesteryear.
The event will be part of the Roaring 20s Festival, which will also include the Charleston for Charity community dance and Majestic Long Lunch fundraisers for Blue Mountains Rural Fire Service.
The Gangster Casino Night for Rotary will be held on February 29, with vintage car tours and 1920s-themed high teas throughout both weekends.
Pop-jazz nostalgia at its finest, The Rosylns are modern "vintage harmony queens'' - three stars with fiery ambition, old-world souls and a lifelong romantic connection to crooner music.
Paired with a four-piece band featuring some of Sydney's swinging-est musicians, The Roslyns will have the audience up dancing the Charleston in double quick time.
Harking to the days of early Andrews Sisters and The Carpenters, the group is the brainchild of Alanna Cherote, who joined forces with Ayla Yuile and Courtney Josh.
Singing and swinging in unison while performing vintage hits in whimsical three-part harmonies, the trio will perform magical renditions of musical masterpieces spanning time from Skeeter Davis and The Everly Brothers to Adele and Jolie Holland.
The Roslyns will play the Majestic Ballroom, Hydro Majestic Hotel, from 8-10pm on Saturday, February 8. Tickets: $35. Bookings: https://shop.hydromajestic.com.au/index.php/events/deco-dinner-sat-8th-february-2025.html or phone Chris on 0411 954 826.
