Australian folk, rock and blues singer, songwriter Kim Churchill picked up his first guitar when he was four years old. He was trained in classical guitar for 10 years and accompanies his guitar with blues harp (harmonica), stomp box, drums and percussion instruments. He also plays lapsteel and tambourine.
Churchill tours extensively and has become a venue and music festival favourite.
Churchill has partnered with Yamaha Australia and Undercover Creative to build a solar powered touring stage and production that can go into regional towns and communities that don't have live music venues.
Kim says of the concept: "I think I've really come to a realisation about the way the Australian music scene lives and breathes through these communities and whilst playing larger headline shows in cities is still amazing and exciting, I really feel at home and deeply happy hitting small towns".
"I want these shows to bring people together over the joy of some gentle music and connection with like-minded people. I'm envisioning loads of silly stories and long conversations about life and where we all are within it!"
Special guest at this show is Tom Myers, founding member of Papa Vs Pretty. Myers has toured extensively performing with many including Jack River, Thelma Plum and most recently Dean Lewis.
