A body has been recovered by police searching for a man missing from Blackheath.
The 75-year-old man was last seen about 9am on May 23 at Evans Lookout, Blackheath. Experienced bushwalker David Bush was seen walking down the Horse Trail track from Evans Lookout after telling family he was going for a day walk.
Emergency services have been searching extensively on land and by air for Mr Bush since Sunday, May 24.
About 1.30pm on Saturday, May 30, PolAir located the body of a man on a cliff ledge in bushland north of Evans Lookout.
A police operation was conducted to recover the body on Sunday.
The body is yet to be formally identified, however, it is believed to be that of the missing man.
Initial inquiries suggest his death is not suspicious.
A report will be prepared for the information of the Coroner.
