Forestry Corporation of NSW has warned residents to obey COVID-19 precautions as state forests reopen for camping this week.
Tourism and partnership manager Louise Faulkner said visitors were now welcome to camp in state forests.
"We are pleased to reopen most of our camping and picnic areas to visitors in time for the long weekend, but please remember that social distancing still applies, numbers for large groups are still limited to 10 and hand hygiene is essential," Ms Faulkner said.

"This means you'll need to pack your hand sanitiser, soap and water, and need to be across the current public health orders."
Residents must register their contact details online for future contact tracing purposes.
Visitors should also check the Forestry Corporation's website for any closures.
Victorian state parks reopened to campers on June 1, but no more than 20 people, including members of the same household, can gather.
Social distancing of 1.5 metres should still be observed, but 20 people can use playgrounds and can gather at beaches.
Communal toilets at caravan or camp sites are open, but other communal facilities like showers and kitchens are closed.
