Blue Mountains Rugby players have started training again under strict conditions.
While this has created challenges for all players and staff, the person probably most under pressure is new first grade coach, Daine Walker. But the attitude and commitment shown so far has been very positive. Walker heads a great team in Apolosa Cama, Jarred Murphy and the indestructible Paul Danby.
Season planning at this stage will see the competition kick off on July 18, following trials. The season will be seven rounds only, with the Blueys at home for four rounds. The grand final will be held on September 26.
With all Penrith Sunday junior rugby league cancelled this year, the Blueys are hoping fans who still want a footy fix will come to Lapstone Oval and have a go at rugby. Interested players are more than welcome. For more information call Chris on 0408 295 297.
