Cancer Wellness Support has named its Leura wellness centre the "Robyn Yates - Cancer Wellness Support Centre" in recognition of its founder.
Cancer Wellness Support celebrated 15 years in operation on May 11 with the vision of providing affordable, subsidised therapies to people living with cancer, their carers and families throughout the Blue Mountains and Penrith Valley regions.

As a celebration of this milestone, the Leura centre was named the "Robyn Yates - Cancer Wellness Support Centre", recognising the outstanding achievements of Robyn Yates in establishing and expanding this vital organisation.
Cancer Wellness Support provided more than 5700 therapies in 2018/2019 and has provided in excess of 50,000 subsidised treatments to clients, carers and families over the last 15 years.
A small celebratory function attended by staff and supporters was held recently at the Leura centre where its renaming was announced by chairman, Bob Reid. Board member Kevin Stapleton presented a nostalgic slideshow travelling through Cancer Wellness Support's history, followed by presentations from the general manager, Bronwen Johnston and client services manager Viv Maitland.
