Bargains, shopfront bling, competitions and plenty of locally-made and sourced products will kickstart the festive season in Springwood during four upcoming late night shopping nights.
Organised by Springwood Business Chamber, Christmas on Macquarie will include businesses along the main street retail-shopping strip. Late night shopping will be held on Thursday nights, November 26, December 3, December 10 and December 17.
Chamber president Mark Barton said: "Everyone needs a bit of a pick-me-up after the year we've all gone through together.
"Our shops are overflowing with great bargains that our retailers have tailored to suit everyone's needs so come out in the cool of the evening, come together and celebrate new beginnings.
"Grab some dinner at one of the restaurants, cafes or takeaway shops in Springwood too and make a night of it."
Late-night shopping over four Thursdays leading up to Christmas would make it easier for shoppers to take their time and choose that perfect gift or decoration.
"Let's all help Macquarie Road buzz, with competitions and special offers for the holiday season - it is the perfect time to blitz the Christmas gift list," said Mr Barton.
Always a big hit with the kids is the Christmas Elf spotting competition. Search shop windows for elves, pick up and return your entry from Catholic Care Springwood Drop-In Centre (in the arcade next to Blooms Pharmacy). Winners will be drawn after the late-night shopping night on December 10.
A best in town, front window display and shop decorations will be a real hit with all the families. You can also vote for the best in town on Springwood Village Facebook page.
