A half-million dollar upgrade to Hargraves Lookout in Blackheath has been approved by council.
The work will include a new accessible ramp and stairs in concrete and stone as well as steel balustrades.
The work will allow people with a disability to easily access the site with its views over the Megalong and Kanimbla Valleys all the way around to Oberon.
The project will be partially funded by the federal government's building better regions fund.
The company chosen for the $519,000 job, Workfield Investments, recently completed a similar project for council at nearby Mount Blackheath.
