An auction guide of $1.15 million has been set for the house of departing Newcastle Knights player Connor Watson.
Watson joined the Knights in 2018 but has signed a two-year contract with the Sydney Roosters after three NRL seasons in Newcastle colours.
Watson's three-bedroom home at 257 Beaumont Street in Hamilton South is being marketed by Robinson Property's Lyndall Allan. It is set for auction on October 9 and has reportedly attracted strong early interest with over 50 enquiries during the first three days on the market.
The renovated 1930s home is located within close proximity to The Junction village, beaches, cosmopolitan Beaumont Street and the Newcastle CBD.
There are two living spaces, a lock-up remote garage and saltwater pool complete with cabana. The single-level weatherboard home is set on a block 304 square metres in size.
Widespread interest
A circa 1893 Victorian terrace at 11 Chinchen Street in Islington is attracting "all sorts of buyers", according to Joel Soldado, of Harcourts. He is marketing the four-bedroom home with a guide of $1.3 million.
It is set for auction on October 6.
Lifestyle appeal
There was local and Sydney interest in a unique Charlestown property before its quick $1.66 million sale.
Luke Searles, of Laing + Simmons, marketed the retreat-like four-bedroom home built on a 3140 square metre bush block at 7 Green Valley Road. It featured a natural, freshwater spring running through the property.
Mr Searles reported "a huge amount of enquiry" before it was secured within one week of being launched to market. The property also featured a freestanding double garage with a granny flat.
