An exhibition of portraits called Business Not Usual will hang for the second time at the Blue Mountains Cultural Centre from January 22-March 20.
Katoomba photographer Tracy Ponich created the collection of black and white photographs of the local business community during the first COVID-19 shutdown in 2020, a time when she felt compelled to pull out the camera and document the moment when the pandemic changed everything.
Originally the exhibition opened on June 26 last year, the very day Greater Sydney went into lockdown. Ironically, the portraits hung for the duration in a locked-down gallery.
This time around, visitors to the Cultural Centre can see the portraits in the foyer, free of charge, a result which pleased Ponich, given the circumstances.
