Fremantle have apologised for an embarrassing ticketing data breach that resulted in the personal details of members being sent to the wrong person.
Dockers members received text messages on Sunday morning containing the email addresses and ticket barcodes of different members ahead of next Saturday's semi-final against Collingwood at the MCG.
Some Fremantle fans vented their fury at having their private information disclosed.
Fremantle chief executive Simon Garlick asked members to disregard the messages and emails they had received.
"On behalf of the club, I would like to sincerely apologise for any inconvenience or confusion caused this morning with incorrect finals ticketing and email information that was communicated via SMS," Garlick wrote in a statement.
"Our management team have been working through the error with the absolute priority being to ensure our members' ability to access finals tickets will not be compromised as a result of the error.
"We take your privacy and information very seriously and we appreciate your understanding with this.
"We can assure you that we will work diligently to review the matter and ensure this error does not happen again."
Fremantle booked their spot in the semi-finals after coming from 41 points down to beat the Western Bulldogs by 13 points at Optus Stadium on Saturday night.
