Any passerby who tried to stop and take in the spectacle had to peer beyond a sea of pink visors and the occasional cowgirl hat.
Groups of families and friends of all ages wore the signature colour from head to toe, with many holding smartphones in one hand and Barbie dolls in the other.
Australian-born Robbie is not only the lead in the live-action film but is also a producer.
The Barbie movie will be released in late July.
