Hyundai says supply of its i30 N hot hatch has improved, and it's now bringing in examples with a new comfort-focused option package to Australia.

Available on the i30 N Premium with Sunroof trim when equipped with the eight-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission, the no-cost Comfort Package brings different front seats.
Instead of manually adjustable N Light bucket seats, there's a pair of N sports seats.
Finished in suede and leather upholstery, they offer eight-way power adjustment plus four-way power lumbar and a cushion extension. There's also memory for the driver's seat.
Otherwise, the equipment list is unchanged. The i30 N Premium with Sunroof is priced at $53,700 before on-road costs.
Power still comes from a 2.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine with 206kW of power and 392Nm of torque, mated with a choice of six-speed manual or eight-speed DCT.
"Hyundai Australia has been working hard to secure incremental supply of i30 N (hatch) to the point where we now have a good volume of stock available nationwide, as well as a healthy production pipeline," said the company in a statement.
It says 387 i30 Hatch Ns are ready for customer deliveries, with an additional 352 examples on their way.
That's a far cry from last year. Hyundai Australia was forced to pause customer orders in February as back-orders piled up but supply remained tight, and it only re-opened orders in September.
Helping supply for Australia is the discontinuation of the model in Europe, where it's built.
Hyundai announced earlier this year it was axing both the i20 N and i30 N hatchbacks in Europe. While these models aren't sold in major markets like China, South Korea or North America, Hyundai nevertheless confirmed it would keep producing them.
They're presently offered in Australia, New Zealand, South Africa and the Middle East.
Not only will they be sticking around here, but CarExpert understands they'll also receive minor facelifts.
Hyundai is also switching to European sourcing for lesser i30 hatchbacks, now that South Korean production of the model has ended. The facelifted i30 Hatch is due here in the third quarter of 2024, and CarExpert understands the updated range will include a facelifted N.
All prices exclude on-road costs. Premium paint is a $595 option across the range.
